Louisville Area Summary
This is a summary of important Louisville area projects identified in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Recommended FY 2003-2008 Six-Year Highway Plan.
The first two years are incorporated into state law. That is, various phases for construction projects have been approved, funding has been set aside for FY 2003-2004, and consturction is expected to take place.
Most projects listed here are Access and Mobility projects, including widenings, interchange reconstruction, new routes and interchanges, and extensions. Most projects consisting entirely of pavement rehabilitation and/or bridge replacements are not included here.
Project ID numbers are listed in abbreviated form; all projects listed here are in District 5. The project listed as 41.0, for example, would encompass Item Nos. 05-41.00 to 05-41.09 in the Six-Year Highway Plan.
